Patricia Correa
My husband and I have lived at 32 Davis Ave. for about 30 years and raised our two sons there (Pierce and BHS grads). Until 2022, I was the Town’s First Assistant and Associate Town Counsel for fourteen years, and assisted with and drafted numerous Town Meeting warrant articles and advised Town Meeting and TMMs on many occasions. I now serve on the Town’s Advisory Committee, which advises Town Meeting. I love this Town and can be an effective Town Meeting member from Day 1.
I have been endorsed by Brookline Pax, Brookline For Everyone, and Brookline by Design.
As I have in my votes on the Town's Advisory Committee, I will support as, a Town Meeting member, well thought-out measures that:
advance the Town's progress toward a carbon free future, and
achieve more affordable housing within the Town.
My history of accomplishments include:
as a Town lawyer, devising a first-in-Massachusetts local licensing scheme for cannabis sales that bolsters the Town’s ability to mitigate against adverse local impacts.
prior to that, as a Massachusetts Assistant Attorney General/Director of the AG's Disability Rights Project, achieving a settlement with a national ATM fleet operator that achieved better access for the blind (as co-counsel with National Federation for the Blind); and co-counseling a successful defense of the State's reproductive health care access law.
