Important Dates for the 2026 Brookline Town Election
The town election will be May 5, 2026 - look for signs like this one around town
Saturday, April 25: Last day to register to vote for the 2026 town election (5 p.m.)
Saturday, April 25: First day for in-person early voting (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
Tuesday, April 28: Last day to request a vote by mail ballot (5 p.m.)
Friday, May 1: Last day for in-person early voting (12:30 p.m.)
Tuesday, May 5: Election Day, polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The ballot will include Town Meeting seats in each precinct plus several townwide positions, including Select Board (2 seats), School Committee (3 seats), Library Trustees (4 seats), and Housing Authority (1 seat). There is also expected to be an property tax override ballot question. More information is available on the Town Clerk's website.
